This company uses deceptive marketing and contractual practices. I urge customers to think carefully about entering a 5 year commitment with them for their alarm system. They gave me a very hard sell on the system even though it didn't do what I was looking for and was inappropriate for my living situation. When the system was installed and I realized that, they refused to cancel the contract. Now, 5 years of payments later, they failed to send me a notice that the commitment was fulfilled and continued to charge me monthly ... read more

Not customer oriented. Could care less once you sign. Alarm not working, given a two week appointment. Will be moving on!

I have been a Slomins security customer from 1994 to 2016, on Long Island, NY, and from 2016 to the present in **** ******* FL. I have not experienced any problems with their service. In fact, they are quick to respond to a system alarm. On the rare occasion that a system component failed, they sent a technician in a reasonable amount of time to diagnose the problem and fix it. I have, and will continue, to recommend Slomins for its security system.

This company is not providing their workers with proper PPE. I needed an emergency service for my home and he came to my house with a pair of gloves. They should be providing them with booties for their dirty street shoes when going into peoples home, a mask, and clean gloves. He came with a pair of dirty gloves. I have a new born in the house and an my dad has no immune system. Disgusted. Dangerous for both the employees and their customers. Should be ashamed!

Not impressed with this alarm system or company. Technician did an install, provided us 1 remote, when we were informed from our sales rep that we would receive 2, but he didn't care and stated it was just one. Poor customer service. After checking out the app, there are 2 different apps which makes no sense. Its 2020 and Slomin's claims to comfort the customer? How? Why should I have to go through 2 different apps to access my account and video? Not to mention, it would have been a little better if they had single sign on. ... read more

Slomins use very tricky and shady tactic. After signing a contract on the tablet I find out they have so many hidden terms and conditions. Right after they start to deliver fuel’s every three weeks when I have 30 days to pay. I have a 275 gallons tank, I told them I do not need fuels every three weeks, I said you’re only putting 100 gallons please assess the Delivery So I can have a chance to pay in the previous delivery. They told me it’s in my contract. Please don’t use these people specially if you are a woman.

Slomins Heating Oil division is running a fraud. I had a fixed price contract at $2.599 pg that expired January 15th. Slomins made a delivery on Jan 21st without notifying me, at $3.499 pg (almost a $1 per gallon over my contract price, and way over the COD price for the day @ $2.399 pg). This is $122.40 difference for 136 gallons of oil delivered from my contract price. I Amin contract with the alarm and oil of Slomins buy my oil will end soon Jan 30 so they told me to check in every now and then to see if oil went down I am at 2.44. They say it’s at 2.74. I go on the website it down to 2.45. And the customer service rep says I can’t have that price the best she can do is 2.74 and I am telling her it’s in your website and not for new customer . How do they expect to keep there customers if they don’t try to hop them knowing I gave both accounts and want to continue with them. They make it h... read more

We have been with Slomin's for about 6 months. When installing, we specifically asked Martin W******** if we would be able to cancel at anytime and he said yes, it would be a small fee of about 2 months (less than $100). Our alarms have gone off multiple times from our dogs, which he assured us wouldn't happen. They came back to adjust the sensors but it still happens so we don't even set the alarm anymore when we leave.
