I feel this company is very under handed with regards to their contracts. I had a contract with this company and it was up in Sept. I called in June to receive a tune up on my boiler and conveniently I couldn't get an appointment until October. I advised the customer service rep about my contract and she didn't try to be accommodating. They want to keep the extra money that they charge for service or force you to renew your contract. I recently bought a house from my son and scheduled **** to install a gas line before end of summer. Two days ago Slomin's put 96 gallons of oil in my oil tank and I don't even have an account with them. My son did but informed them that he did not want to renew his contract after seeing that his next delivery was in August. In my experience, Slomin's is a company that preys on senior citizens. My parents had their alarm system and upgraded to a new panel and remote. Slomin's had them sign a FIVE year contract. Steven, manager of the cancellation dept, said if my parents are of sound mind they should know what they are signing. My parents are 75 years old. Many seniors are able to live alone and take care of themselves, but are often preyed upon by companies like Slomin's. I feel this company is very under handed with regards to their contracts. I had a contract with this company and it was up in March. They just filled my tank in May for 1 dollar and 20 cents more per gallon. When I called to complain they told me I should of read my contract better, it automatically renews. we have had slomins for oil and alarm for 5 years. I finally cancelled the alarm since we were out of contract and wanted to do the same with oil. well we call and they said we never used our yearly cleaning. we never knew we needed one, someone should have called. So made an appt for april 16th someone showed up the Friday before when I was away on vacation. Absolutely awful customer service and oil delivery service. Took us weeks to get contract with the correct price we were promised. We told them exactly where our oil fill was and yet every delivery person just left saying they couldn't find it (clearly they didn't even walk around the property then because it is extremely visible). We have been customers of Slomin's for 5 years. We have a contract for the heat and hot water. Our hot water went out and we were unable to start it. We called Slomin's Sunday morning. The guy my husband spoke to said they can't get anyone out here before Wednesday. Tuesday night I call to see if they will text us when they're on there way. I guy never put us in for repair. From the first oil delivery we had issues from telling them to drop only 150 gallons per month to them dropping whatever they want . But now our oil burner stopped working it’s. Ow 24 hours and still even with a maintenance contract my house is 44 degrees my kids thank god are in school they are ether I’ll equiped or horrible with dealing with emergencies. Do your self a favor avoid them by all costs
I woke up this morning to no heat or hot water. I called Slomin's at 10:38am to request a service call. Called back at 12:20 to let them know that I may be out of oil, and that I was supposed to receive a delivery on 12/18/17....which I never did.
