I went away on vacation years ago with a prescheduled fuel delivery the day I left. I came back 3 weeks later to a near freezing house and no explanation. I called another company for delivery and to restart the furnace. My children at the time were 3 and 5. Never again! Some Slomin' s salesperson got my wife to sign for "information" today on fuel oil. The paper turns out to be a service contract with a 3 day cancellation window and a 400.00 early termination fee after 3 days. I just called them to cancel and it's "not in t... read more

First year with this oil company. They have AWESOME service. Knowledgeable service men. Have had two other oil providers Very happy with the service I receive from Slomin’s!

the company has the worst customer service , definitely will not recommend this home security company. they give you the run around and before you sign they are willing to help but afterwards they nasty and have attitude. Also when the alarm accidently goes off, for example, an agent calls with a nasty attitude and just asks "code word" and doesn't introduce themselves or anything and expects for you to know exactly who they are, and you ask whos this and they get angry and keep asking code word instead of letting you know w... read more

I signed up to take over the former owners contract, which only had 10 months left on it. When I called at the end of the 10 months, they claimed I signed a contract for 5 years. I never signed a contract for 5 years I only signed for the 10 months. My signature was on a separate page on the contract they claimed I signed for the 5 years. They are telling me something completely different from what the sales person told me and had me signed for. I thought I was dealing with a company with integrity. I’ve learned my lesson.

I normally don't post reviews on websites and I see that Slomin's has quite a few negative reviews. We are heating oil customers and we have a service contract with them for our furnace. Yesterday we woke up to a cold house and discovered the furnace wasn't working. I placed a call and a service technician arrived shortly thereafter. He quickly determined that the problem was a faulty electronic panel and the cost to replace it would be $475. Not the happiest news to hear, but better to address it while there still may be so... read more

I have been with Slomin’s 25 years for securing my home with their alarm and fire detectors. I called to get my 5 year alarm upgrade and the technician came out to install an updated key pad with updated fire alarms. When the technician was finished, he explained the new features to us. He said that we would be able to see the weather on our key pad. The next day, we could not get the weather to be displayed on our keypad. Slomins in **********, NY A very bad customer service including those supervisors who are working there. I had a yearly maintenance scheduled for November, in the evening around 7 before the day of the appointment. Some lady calls in to reschedule the appointment, i twice confirmed the appointment. The salesperson was good but the services *****. I opened three accounts with the man and was promised auto delivery and prompt service. This is not the case. I ran out of oil and my tenants were freezing. They even complained to the city, I never had a complaint but now I have . I told the company that the oil tank is empty and after about twenty hours a van finally arrived with fifteen gallons of oil. Slomin’s 1$ more than other company’s as prices went down They rushed to deliver at higher price and as I’ m trying to cancel my contract with them they have really bad costumer service every time they have a new rule aa I thought my contract was cancel they came to make a delivery charged 2.799 as other company's are charging 1.88 I called now they tell me they will call me back to cancel contract as times are so difficult and people are working less hours or without work Slomin’s continues to over charge there costumer’s
