I've had nothing but super care and attention at the Sx Falls VAMC. Having undergone numerous procedures, tests, labs, scans, etc. I can truthfully say the staff has been professional, courteous, and concerned. Yesterday I was driving the DAV Van transporting a Korean War Vet, the Facility was beaming with activity when we arrived and things seemed to flow smoothly as usual. My passenger went through his tests, got his results and we were on the road home in great time.

The ER nurse BJ was very professional on Saturday morning and they got me in and seen by a doctor right away when I was on vacation. Kept me informed of delays with radiology results being outsourced and the doctor on call was also great. Proud to have served and proud that the Sioux falls Va has a great team to serve me.

I know for sure the VA in Sioux Falls is a great place I just had my husband out there and he got great care this was in the emergency room they have always been great to him I would tell anyone that is a veteran to go there yes some time you have to get a little loud at some 9f the recipient because they don't understand what the Dr has told you but if you give it to them straight they will be there to help you. Thank you V A god bless our service men and women

I was very impressed. First time there. Walked in, info desk pointed to us where to sign in. Gave info to customer service and they told us where to go wait. Didn't even get that far and they called my brother's name. Immediately weighed and took vitals. The nurses did a great job. Afterwards went to another section to see the doctor. Waited less than 10 minutes and we were in to see the doctor. He was very courteous and answered all of my brothers questions, and mine. Just had knee replacement total knee, went fine, the pain has been well controlled everybody the doctors and nurses are really polite and really make an effort to make sure All my needs are met. They make me feel like I am at home. If you are a Vet I would highly recommend this hospital.

The VA didnt treat me unfairly it was just that i was in pain and i had to sit in a chair and wait 2 hours, if not longer, for my results after a car accident. They feed me which was good because im a diabetic. They gave me a blanket to keep warm and they gave me tylenol. I wasn't asking for pain meds just a little confort. Maybe i should have asked for a bed until the results where in. I do love the VA but i think i should have spoke up and asked for a bed to lay down on until the results were in. Not a good ER experience. Doctor didn't seem to care and didn't listen to my concerns. Meds given were insufficient to manage the pain from my injury.

They obviously don't know how to help somebody who is really in need, quite a sad system they have going
