Renovated in June 2007, Silk City is actually two places joined together. The diner was originally built by the Silk City company in the 1930s. If you are familiar with the old Silk City menu, expect changes. I went here last night with my Aunt...Wanted to check out my cousin Sugah Shay, who was one of the dj’s...THE FOOD, ATMOSPHERE, VIBE AND THE MUSIC WAS DEFINITELY ON POINT! My cousin did HER THANG!! I looking forward to going back before I return back to Georgia!!
Sooo good! Came in for dinner tonight with my sister and mother. My mom and I are from Chicago so we always have to check out some cool digs while in new places. The empanadas were amazing!! I went there yesterday night with two friends. I loved the crowd, the vibe, the disco type lights, the food, the strong drinks, the music, everything. The lady at the diner was really nice. My friend and I bought food but we wanted to dance to our songs in the club so she stored our food in containers and kept it warm and hidden for us. She was really nice. I've been going here for years, and I finally got a chance to get down there with my daughter. Man, it was so good. The pork belly, bacon stuffed pancakes, and everything else. Always love eating here.
MY 217th time here and i DJ’d for the first time!! FIRST OF MANY!!! Silk is Home! It’s a family vibe and it’s sole purpose is to make your night 50% doper than what It already is!

Took my son there for a Saturday brunch and it was well worth the trip! Fruit salad appetizer was fresh and tasty. My son has a scrumptious omelette with shrimp, avocado, peppers and onions; i had the breakfast 1sandwich on a toasted bagel with arugula, cheddar, turkey bacon and tomato. Both of us raved about our meals and we will definitely be back even though I live in Lambertville, NJ.
Surprising! It does not look like much from the outside. But, fun upbeat atmosphere inside, the food was very good. drinks from the bar and service (Zachary) was great! They are open everyday for brunch, they just started doing two happy hours and the dinner menu looks good! I recommend this local neighborhood restaurant. Enjoy!
