I am a Marriott Bonvoy member and have typically had a good experience with Marriott. That's no longer the case. I booked a hotel stay for July 16-18 to attend a funeral in Casper, Wyoming. I called ahead to understand COVID-19 cleaning protocol and was assured that hotel staff were doing everything possible to disinfect the room. Fortunately, I brought my own disinfecting/cleaning supplies. There was so much dust, dirt and grime on many fixtures that there is no way the room was thoroughly cleaned. I travel a lot and the Residence Inn Beaumont is not customary and goes beyond the Covid State and local Restriction not even allowing six US Soldiers to grill. They are going beyond corvid restrictions. They put the hotels grill away. They also took a guess personal grill away and would not give it back. In addition the service is poor, breakfast is not served on time, my room fridge is still making an extreme noise when the fan comes on and the room cleaning is poor. We are frequent Marriott guests and have stayed at the 750 I-35 New Braunfels, TX Courtyard many times over the years. Our most recent stay was unfortunately for a family funeral. The last thing we thought we would have to worry about is being overcharged 3 separate transactions by the Marriott...overcharges totaling close to $600 for a 2 night stay!! I had to place at least one star just to start with a review, but they don't deserve even one. It's all started that after 2days staying in a room I had garbage which needed to be taken out and towels replaced, bed to be made, etc. I came to front desk at 11am and asked for my room to be cleaned they said they would have to arrange it but it would be some time. marriott turnkey home rentals canceled our paid for reservations while driving from nys to myrtle beach. They will not give us a refund due to unforseen issues not controlled by them. Covid 19. They offered me a credit to use upto Feb 2021 however I am now unemployed and even if I obtain a new job, I will not be eligible for a week long vacation by then. So they should refund me back otherwise it is considered stealing. I will not recommend them ever after this horrible experience

Tried to leave this review for Zip 77030 but HOUSTON BBB links are NO GOOD: my chat with them Marriott on Fannin St link sends us to WRONG hotel on Briarpark Dr (now send me here). Family always Sheraton fans, now certainly Marriott fans; thankful for their bend-over-backwards care of us this last year under HOU Methodist Hosp, care (connected by pedestrian sky bridges). Absolutely THE WORST HOTEL EVER!. workers here were very rude and I've gone to Marriott's, and by far this is the worst one yet. Mario O*** (one of the employees) had a disgusting attitude was harassing and following guests in the hotel. He was talking with a very aggressive tone, he burst into my mother's room, and hit my aunt with the door and told everyone who came to give her gifts, to get out or he will call the police.
