The pictures for each specific room and the description of the ocean view rooms are inaccurate, deceitful, & misleading. Ocean view actually means you'll be looking out the balcony seeing a brick building and partial ocean view stepping off of the balcony. I spoke to a few reps and they all agreed that the picture and name was misleading. They set my rewards after living there for months due to home repair they set up my reward card the company refuses to help me log into my account but they "see" my account. I have not been able to use my points after my insurance gave them over 20K for me to live in a hotel that wasn't all that great to began with. I want them to give me the correct information to get my points they refuse to help me
Airport parking:Very easy to make parking reservations and happy with the price. Parking lot was hard to find, arriving at Marriott hotel there were no instructions on where to go, who to pay, where specifically to park..nothing. Then they let the panders and scam artist on the shuttle. They create and emergency and ask for cash. The gentleman scammed me out of $40. Very noisy HVAC. Kept us awake. Microwave oven found on the floor. Had to move it to the countertop to use. Terrible Sanitation issues DO NOT STAY HERE ! My wife and I booked a studio suite room for three nights for a quick "relaxing" getaway. It was anything but. On the day of check in, I called Marriott Corporate to tell them I was feeling unwell. Given the current COVID environment, I thought that was the responsible thing to do. I told them upfront that I prepaid for my stay and asked for their advice on what to do and if there could be a refund in this case. This is no reflection on Marriott International - only on TownPlace Suites in Gainesville. 7451 Newbery Rd, Newbery, FL 32609 Our company booked two rooms for one night at this location through Expedia. I had never had any other issues with these type of reservations in the past. The hotel replied to my reservation with a question which I answered. I stayed at this hotel from July 25th to July 30th 2020 due to my apartment being renovated. First of all, the guest services were horrible, they were not friendly whatsoever. I had an absolutely horrible experience with the Marriott Griffin Gate Resort in Lexington, KY hotel from the start. I booked this hotel for a short, socially distanced weekend getaway for me and my wife to enjoy spa, pool, and golf.
