I love Shampoo! This salon was recommended to me by a friend and I was delighted with their services. I was nervous to cut my hair short but Andrea did a wonderful job. They use the best products and I even purchased some volumzing shampoo on the way out which smells amazing. I would highly recommend Shampoo and I can't wait to check out their new location!
Shampoo Avenue B offers great quality, affordable hair care services in the heart of Alphabet City. I got a great cut and my stylist helpfully suggested reasonably priced products for my hair type without being too pushy. This salon is chic without being stuffy or pretentious and all the people I interacted with were friendly and professional. Will definitely be back soon!
Shampoo is definitely one of the best salon experiences I have had in NYC in years. The staff is friendly, the shop itself has a great atmosphere and welcoming vibe and they are always on time with their appointments. Erik is the best, always able to execute any cut and never rushes, always takes his time and gets it perfect. As a guy, I appreciate that the cut also grows out perfect so you don't need to be back every week. I've been going there for almost two years and can't recommend it enough!!
I have been cutting my hair with Jen for almost 2 years. I travel from the upper eastside. The salon is clean and all the staff friendly. Jen is the best. First we discuss what my likes and dislikes are for my hair. Then she spends at least 45 min cutting and styling. I walk out feeling great! I know when I love my haircut and dont want to wash it for days after,that I will definitely be back with Jen for my next haircut!
Having a bad day is inevitable having a bad hair cut is not. That's why I keep going to Shampoo Avenue B. This salon has top quality hairstylists who care for detail as much as they care for hair. Always satisfied with their service and highly recommend this salon.

I have always had great experiences at Shampoo Avenue B. Jessica does the best natural, multi-dimensional blonde highlights and knows the right shade to choose for your specific coloring. The decor at the salon is very urban-chic, clean and welcoming, and the prices are very reasonable for New York City. Plus, they have a great rewards program that gives you money off your next visit for booking online, referring friends and buying retail products. Overall great salon, highly recommend!
I moved from Florida to NYC last year. After three failed attempts at finding a good hair place I found Jen D at Shampoo Ave B. She's extremely talented, entergetic, fun and knows her sh!t! The whole staff is always friendly and creates a wonderfully comfortable atmosphere. Also, it's affordable which is another bonus. I am so happy I found this place. You won't be disappointed.
