Dr. Appell has performed 5 rotator cuff repairs and a left hip replacement on me. He is the best, absolutely the best orthopedic surgeon EVER. I will NEVER use another orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Appell did a fabulous job replacing my hip. He is proficient with the innovative anterior hip surgery and my recovery was amazingly fast. I have to have the other hip done at some point and wouldn't think of going to anyone else. I was also extremely impressed with Grandview and Dr. Appell's joint replacement classes/program he has in place there.

I am 4 months out from a right total hip replacement. I a pain free and walking without a limp for the first time in more than 3 years. I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Appell. His surgical skill, professionalism and compassion made this procedure and recovery very tolerable. I have had an excellent result and am back to work, playing golf and playing with my grandchildren. I saw 2 other surgeons before deciding on Dr. Appell and I can say that made the right choice
