Lakeside bistro featuring local and sustainable ingredients. Sardine is located in the historic Machinery Row building (est. 1846) on the shores of lake Monona, in the heart of Madison, Wisconsin. Our menu features artisanal cheeses, fresh shellfish and seafood, braised and roasted meats. Bar opens at 4:00 and offers signature drinks, local and imported tap beers and a well-rounded wine list. Saturdays and Sundays brunch is served from 9-2:30.

Just great. Apart from not rushing you, and the very kind, flexible staff the food is just awesome. Very tasty. French and Italian. Winelist is impressive. And above all, if you love oysters, go to Sardine! And the location is amazing. In other words: we loved it. Highly recommended!
