Lakeside bistro featuring local and sustainable ingredients. Sardine is located in the historic Machinery Row building (est. 1846) on the shores of lake Monona, in the heart of Madison, Wisconsin. Our menu features artisanal cheeses, fresh shellfish and seafood, braised and roasted meats. Bar opens at 4:00 and offers signature drinks, local and imported tap beers and a well-rounded wine list. Saturdays and Sundays brunch is served from 9-2:30.

Apparently, I can't get a steak that isn't either burnt or so salty that its inedible. Both my husband and I had to send back our meals the first time because they were totally overcooked, and while my husband steak was fine the second time, mine tasted like someone had ground salt all the way through it. It was so salty I couldn't even eat it. Worst Father's Day Meal Ever.
