Lakeside bistro featuring local and sustainable ingredients. Sardine is located in the historic Machinery Row building (est. 1846) on the shores of lake Monona, in the heart of Madison, Wisconsin. Our menu features artisanal cheeses, fresh shellfish and seafood, braised and roasted meats. Bar opens at 4:00 and offers signature drinks, local and imported tap beers and a well-rounded wine list. Saturdays and Sundays brunch is served from 9-2:30.

Enjoyed a superb dinner tonight with friends. Elizabeth, our server, was personable and professional, the cocktails were expertly crafted, the entrees were uniformly good and the desserts were sublime. I can’t think of anything I’d change.
This restaurant was recommended to us by an employee at the new Indigo hotel where we are staying. This French restaurant is better than we expected. The food, decor, view of lake, and staff was exceptional. I highly recommend patronizing.
