Lakeside bistro featuring local and sustainable ingredients. Sardine is located in the historic Machinery Row building (est. 1846) on the shores of lake Monona, in the heart of Madison, Wisconsin. Our menu features artisanal cheeses, fresh shellfish and seafood, braised and roasted meats. Bar opens at 4:00 and offers signature drinks, local and imported tap beers and a well-rounded wine list. Saturdays and Sundays brunch is served from 9-2:30.

Great food. Great staff at the bar. They know how to take care if a customer.
I was foolish & forgot to make reservations for brunch for the 7 of us, but the bar was open so we sat there. Our server, Corinda, was helpful & delightful! The food & drinks were awesome. We'll be back!
Excellent service and atmosphere... apps, salads and drinks were great (though cocktails were tiny), only one entree of four was good. Pretty disappointed, won't likely return.
RecommendedBrilliant Beet Bloody Mary & Brunch. Have the waffle for dessert, then have dessert! I did.
We love this restaurant. You can dress up a bit if you like, or come as you are and you won't feel out of place. The menu always has a great selection and the oysters are the best part. We have always had great service and I really enjoy the atmosphere here. They have easy parking for a city like Madison and a pretty view by the windows.
Great service and delicious food.
Great food from the bar menu, but waiter mixed up orders and three meals were delayed by 30 minutes. But the manager did not charge us for the delayed orders.
One of the best in Madison!
Our server Elizabeth was absolutely great. The food was perfect.
