Just got back home after staying here for 6 nights. What a lovely hotel! Quirky and vintage. The reviews of this hotel really hold up. I see why everyone loved it so much. It was perfect for my first trip to the west coast. In the middle of everything you would need to see in North Beach. So many great cafes and restaurants, and Fisherman's Wharf are all right there. This charming turn-of-the-century rooming house is delightful. The rooms are small and there are communal toilets and showers, but this is just part of the charm. Everything looks like it may have in the 20s. It is fun to just explore. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay there again when we return to San Francisco.
Excellent find! The hotel is small and cozy with cute unique rooms; it's like staying in someone's home rather than a hotel. The facilities are spotlessly clean and every little detail has been considered to ensure you aren't inconvenienced by the shared bathrooms. I would recommend this to anyone visiting San Francisco, it's been an added bonus to my holiday.
LOVED the San Remo Hotel! Cute, comfortable and a little bit quirky. I would definitely stay there again. Warm, friendly people, too.
