RecommendedAfter traveling for 8 weeks, this was our last stop on our way home. We stayed in some luxury places while away, but the San Remo will stay in our minds as one of the best. We agree with all the other great reviews and it would be our first choice to stay, when we hopefully get back to San Francisco.
If you love San Francisco this place is for you close to the wharf but far enough away. Clean and tidy, staff superb, shared bathrooms but always hot and fresh quaint and quirky like its town!!!

My family and I loved the location because lots of tourist attractions are accessible from this hotel. Near to several food and souvenir shops as well. Accommodation wise nothing we can complain of, we love the classic look of the hotel including rooms. Very accommodating and friendly staffs. We love the free drinks like coffee, tea and hot chocolates :)

Its worth it, but keep in mind that it's a historical hotel. It doesn't have a bathroom for each bedroom, it's almost a hostel. However it's atmosphere and the Italian restaurant on the ground floor (the oldest in the USA) are unforgettable.
