Terrible service department. Have used San Marcos Toyota for past five years with my truck. Today I find out that rear bearings need replaced ($2,000). I asked service manager why this wasn’t discovered on my recent oil changes. I was told that the “Express Lube” doesn’t have time to look for issues when doing the change. The. Why pay 2.5 times for an oil change at Toyota when I can get the exact same at same quality at Walmart? Terrible service department - they have taken my last dime....
RecommendedI have used San Marcos Toyota for the last few years. we have bought 4 cars from there, but today having an oil change that took 10 minutes for me to be waited on, because one guy was doing his job, but the shop forman was standing around doing nothing. i really don't understand why he couldn't have help out. the foreman just walked around and so many new faces, always makes me nervous. They will need to step up for me to continue my services. By the Guy is fantastic in the service department.

My recommendation is based on their service center, not their sales department. I bought my car in November 2018, and had a great experience with my salesman, Jordan. However, I’ve gone three times for regular maintenance, and every time has been a horrible experience.
