Had front windshield replaced. Excellent service and the service man spent time to make sure all was ok. Even had all the window stickers back to normal.
Absolutely terrible. Safelite reps have caused more damage to my car than what I started with. The first time someone came out they made the cracks bigger in my windshield, the second time they did not have the correct glass, the third time the windshield was put in too tight (which made it rub against my dashboard and secure pins were missing) the fourth time i went to safelite, waited 3 hours and I still have the same issue... Are you safe light a long time ago to get a new windshield after a rock hit my windshield and they did a great job replacing it, but that's not why I'm writing this. Tonight on Atlantic Boulevard in Jacksonville Florida Safelite van was weaving in and out of traffic without using lingers and kept trying to nudge his way into a lane so no blinker. What an ass hat.
Guy showed up and sat in the driveway and then just left. Didn't come to the door and knock or anything. Am I supposed to sit outside and wait? Hold your hand and show you what to do? Thanks a lot, oh well your Loss.
I arrived 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment time. I signed in & sat down. I noticed others that signed in after myself being helped. After waiting patiently & quietly for 45 minutes with no acknowledgement that someone will be with me, I spoke to the young lady at the desk who then quickly got someone to help me. Once they got my car to the area for service, it was quick & professionally fixed. For that reason, I rate a 4.
I chose to go to the office for my windshield replacement and they were nothing but nice. The young man who did the work of replacing the windshield was spot on. He explained what he was going to do, showed me the waiting area and said that the water, soda drinks and chips were on the house. When he finished told me about the warranty and how it worked, said that he had vacuum the front mates to make sure their was no trash left in my car. Very professional job.
DO NOT let them touch an expensive vehicle. They broke three parts on my car, replaced one, and I paid big bucks to replace the other. Incompetent technician and uncaring office personnel. I suggested to my insurance company they ban their clients from using this substandard service.
