When most guys retire, they decide to take it easy, maybe play a little golf or something. Not Russ Salvatore—he built a contemporary restaurant and luxury hotel to run in his retirement. Salvatore, who has been in the restaurant business over 40 years, founded Salvatore's Italian Gardens and Salvatore's Grand Hotel, which he operated until his retirement. First time there the house wine merlot we were served had sentiment in the wine not matured not to be Resturant worthy and could not drink it filet was horrible tasted like rare liver clams casino nothing on then chicken Oscar with crab all you tasted was Mayo very disappointed no flavour seafood bisque and crab cakes were delicious everything else very disappointed we will not be Back

I must preface this review by stating my admiration with what Mr. Salvatore does for our community and veterans, and it pains me to write this review. But, we were extremely dissatisfied with some of our food and, especially, the attitude of Mr. Salvatore. My husband had to send his steak back 3 times without resolution, besides the inconvenience, is this even Covid compliant??? everything! food is beyond phenomenal, service is perfectly timed to enjoy each course, and they do an aweso e job helping to celebrate special events. also Mr. Salvatore is a wonderful, kind person and he knows how to do it well!
