The idea for Ruby’s Diner was born in 1980 after a run on the beach. Doug Cavanaugh had just returned to his native Southern California after successfully restoring and running a restaurant on Nantucket Island off Cape Cod. We only went for Milkshakes while on the pier. Service was good, place is pretty clean and shakes were very good! Certainly cannot beat the view!!

We waiting a good 30 min then the server put me s in a small booth which we had 5 people in our party. The waitress was polite an friendly. I ordered a salad which looked like a head of lettuce put on the plate with a hand full of thin crouton looking things. The plate around the rim was dirty with what looked like sticky stuff all around the rim I scraped some off to make sure it wasn’t just stained It came off for day with my nail we told the waitress an she said it was from them making the salad on the plate smh 🤦♀️ no ... read more
