The idea for Ruby’s Diner was born in 1980 after a run on the beach. Doug Cavanaugh had just returned to his native Southern California after successfully restoring and running a restaurant on Nantucket Island off Cape Cod. My burger was super greasy, the whole lettuce head was basically in there it was gross. But the view was pretty good.

My burger was good, but smelled like sweat. Wifes chicken was tough. But the smell ruined the experience.

Service was terrible. We had empty plates on the table for 20 minuets. The waitress and staff were very distant not even a refill until had to ask. Waited 15 minuets for banana split, and a brownie sundae. It was weak sauce. Pretty disappointed in overall. The girl that made my son the balloon � was probably the only one point. Terrible just straight irritating. This was 7-15-18. Worst service day ever. Been going here for years. Next time we’re going somewhere else definitely.
