Tried to trick us into changing the air filter by showing us a dirty one that didn’t even come from our vehicle. Disappointed and will never do business with or recommend Ron Tonkin Toyota ever again.
I was going to get a 2015 Toyota Corolla S and Miranda and all the staff that was working with her in the background made me a happy customer cause they were able to not only approve me for that but they hooked me up with a Brand Spanking New 2018 Toyota Corolla XSE with all the bells and whistles and when they handed me the keys the Sun came out and shined down on my new awesome car. I went to Ron Tonkin and they took my 2015 Toyota Tundra apart to diagnose and electrical issue and told me it would be $2500 to fix it. I said no because I don’t have $2500 so please just put it back together and I will pick it up and pay a diagnostic fee. Then they told me well that would cost $1000 and they won’t put it back together until I sign something to agree to pay that amount. I said no I will not pay $1000 for a diagnostic fee. I'm absolutely impressed with the service here, so I gotta share. Ron Tonkin Toyota, Portland has insane service. From the moment you walk in the door the service is simply outstanding. We've stuck with this location for years because of the exceptional service, it's worth the drive for such customer service. Had an appt at 145pm for an oil change. Didn't get done till 330. Got charged 100 for an is it filter and a cabin filter. WTF! Could of got it myself for 20 to 30. No more svc work at ron Tonkin honda anymore, except for an oil change because of lifetime oil card. They just lost a long time customer.
