The experience i had with this hospital is one i hope no family ever has to go through. This has taken a lot for me to actually write because it was truly the worst time of my life. My dad was brought in by his nursing home due to agitation (he has Alzheimer’s) and the fact that the nursing home gave him a medication in which he had a previous paradoxical reaction too. This family has been fans of RGH for decades. My husband wouldn't go anywhere else. My children, now adults, received wonderful care there. And my husband spent 54 years working in EMS CARING FOR OTHERS, and deserves far better. 6800 is a HELL HOLE! I would not send my DOG there! The medical staff are kind but grossly understaffed and overworked. Call bells are rarely answered within 20 minutes or more. First of all; the care my wife is receiving has been 100% professional and courteous. The staff of 5500 is by far the most friendly and professional group of individuals; there are way to many to name. All of you put care of patients first. As for the powers to be. Think of patient safety, not just staff. Clean the restrooms especially when they are shared. No wipes to clean door handle to toilet area, toilet seat. Staff says they can't get them. Go to Home Depot - they got em..
Had two kids here, just got back from the second. The staff were wonderful here. Due to the pandemic they fed me as well as my wife. The food is edible to very good depending on the meal.
