My mother has been in the ER at RWJ 3 times in 4 months.. each time leaving with no answers. Pneumonia was missed, a broken rib was missed and this time, no answer whatsoever. We sat on a bed in the main hallway for 6 HOURS, watching people who came in after her get rooms before her. The nurses seemed to have no compassion. I will acknowledge it was a crazier night than usual, but that is no excuse for the treatment yesterday. It's always a fast and pleasant experience compared to the reason your going and situation. I went at around 6 am-7am Thursday yesterday and left at like 10 am only because they were waiting on me to give a urine si best advice don't use the bathroom before you go lol so you'll be out in less than an hour like my last visit last year.
The automated system is atrocious. The staff I have spoken to on the phone are nasty, pushy, and rush me off the phone every single time I try to reach someone at the neurology department. I am absolutely disgusted by the way I have been snapped at on the phone while simply trying to reach an office staff member at the neurology department. You would think with all of these obstacles you were trying to hack the FBI server or something. Absolutely ridiculous.
Had surgery October 14th. Was moved to the 7th floor. The nurses and PCT/CCTs were great. They made me feel so comfortable even though I wasn't. The PT staff was also very nice and knowledgeable. They made the decision that going home right after the surgery was not safe. Was sent to a rehab. Overall all staff was great.
The staff is kind caring and knowledgeable... As for as a hospital visit it was wonderful. truly caring people work here!!
