RWJ to me is one of the best hospitals no wait in the ER friendly staff in the triage and on the floor just as nice I'm just coming home from a stay there
The best nursing staff anywhere. The only MAJOR complaint is the perpetual log jam between the ER and beds. The facility has insufficient beds for the demand, and thus has been going on for years. Not uncommon to spend hours or days on a stretcher in the ER before beds become available. Holding areas for overflow help, but not enough. Aside from regular vitals checks throughout the night, staff make no attempt to minimize noise and other forms of sleep interruption. Slamming doors, loud hallway conversations, etc.

My boyfriend is currently still there sadly with walking pneumonia (so they think!) it's a dirty filthy hospital, his dialysis wasn't done correctly causing pains everywhere, the nurses had NO clue what they were doing, wrong meds and doses were given and he's diabetic and needing a kidney transplant and they THINK he's got pneumonia but no one has an answer. Every question I ask, it's an I don't know answer and if the wrong meds aren't being given, he gets NO meds at all!!!!!! The nurses and all staff are very rude and unhe... read more
I was there yesterday with dog bit wounds. ER was not busy, I only waited about 10 minutes. The check in woman was very nice and even found bandaids for me since I was bleeding everywhere. The ER doctor (Dr. Shah) was very nice and made sure I was okay, his nurse was also amazing. They put me into the treatment room and the bald RN (don't know his name) was very funny and was checking on me every 15 minutes or so. Overall a great experience!

I have been at your hospital too many times to mention,because of a chronic condition (C.I.P.O.) OVER THE MANY VISITS I'VE observe many improvements have been made from your dinning menu,to housekeeping. Triage, transport.and strong effort that was made to accommodate a growing health care population.(larger holding area. As a male patient, I remember being Next door to the Maternity ward. Obviously, there's a long way to go but at least I can see the many improvements made since 1999 till present.
