Father has sat here for nearly a day w 25lbs of fluid in his abdomen & now his limbs are starting to swell...they tell us he's not an emergency so he can sit in his discomfort until an OR opens up...& still not in a room 24hrs later...understaffed & over rated...

I was in the ER for about 8 hours today just sick to my stomach. The nurse that was with me like the whole time being there was awesome. She made sure I was okay and comfortable . She was such an awesome woman. I couldn't stop thanking her ! �
I am extremely disappointed in the pedi ER at RWJ. We arrived thurs night at 9pm with my 7yr old son presenting chest pains. He has a family history of heart disease and a heart murmur. It took 1hr until we got back into a room, 2 hrs until a nurse saw us and 3hrs until a Dr saw us!! By the time my son got an EKG , the results and released it was a total of 4hrs!! Going forward we will be going to Jersey Shore University Medical Center!!
I would like to thank the emergency personal, the Core 2 staff, all the nurses, the patient care techs and the housekeeping staff, I have never met a more professional and caring staff. Thanks to Dr George Batsiedes and the operating room staff for saving my life. I can't say enough about the nursing staff at this hospital, they are angles.
Er was just too busy, my mom waited 32 hrs for a room, I was constantly looking for nurse, was told we are over our capacity--rediclious, thanking god my mom is stable now.
Except for a long wait from my appointment time, the staff is nice and friendly and the tech explained everything that would happen to me as I was getting the simulation mold done for my upcoming treatments. I would have given a 5 if I didn't have to wait so long.
I had surgery on Oct 13 and spent the night on the oncology floor 6 North. I can't say enough wonderful things about the nurses and support staff. Joselyn, Ashley, and Kristen were so comforting and helpful, explained everything to me, encouraged me to ask questions , and made me feel like we were old friends . Patty from housekeeping kept me laughing, and Cynthia was the sweetest person I have ever met, Everyone I encountered made a positive impact on my experience.
I came in with a dislocated and broken ankle. Despite losing my very expensive watch for a little while (which was found) it's been a pretty good experience. The staff is very professional and helpful. The food is very good. Pain management not so good. If you are in pain prepare to stay in pain for quite a while.
