Great Location! – I live at River City Court and this is one of the best locations in the Fan! I am 4 blocks away from Cary Street and right across the street are several parks. The apartments are old but somewhat fairly remodeled. Receiving mail on time seems to be a challenge, but overall it is a good area and the rent is very reasonable. Staff seems about average with other companies I have rented from, but again the location is great!

All Good So Far! – I moved into River City Court over the summer. Since then I have had only two maintenance problems and they were both fixed the same day. The second time I called, a maintenance guy showed up literally in 5 minutes (he was actually working next door). I have only been to the office once, but the people there were nice and polite.

Haters Go Home! – I have lived at River City Court for 4 months now. I do not have roaches because I take my trash out and keep my apartment clean. I do not have problems with management because I pay my rent on time. It is an old property, but it is nice and clean. If you do not believe me look for yourself!

WORST COMPANY EVER! – They don't even deserve one star, this is by far the worst rental company i have ever heard of. They are shady and sleezy and will do anything to get more money from you. my apartment is full of cockroaches and i have complained multiple times with no response from them, they took three months to fix our broken sink and they always barge in unannounced at 8 in the morning, not a pleasant thing to wake up to. they also send fake bills and statements to make you think you owe them all this money that you ... read more

worst landlords in central VA – It looks like River City Real Estate is writing fake reviews (i,.e., "gorams") again to bolster the company's well-deserved horrible ratings. Whatever cosmetic fixes they might be making, or have made, at River City Court (aka Gilmour Court) or elsewhere, RCRE has the worst customer rating in central Virginia (check the BBB site). Not a bad place to live for the price – I lived in Richmond for several years 2006 - 2009 then moved to Baltimore for two years. I just moved back to Richmond and visited one of my girlfriends who lives at River City Court. The entire place has been remodeled. It does not look anything like it did a couple of years ago. I think they must be under new management. I am considering moving there in the fall.

SLUMLORDS – This is the worse place you can rent from in Richmond. They refuse to return emergency pages for maintenance on off hours. I have a constantly leaking ceiling that they fix with putting plaster over the crack. My a/c has broken twice. It has been 90 all weekend and I have not been able to stay in my apartment because it is so hot and they haven't even responded to my request to have the a/c fixed. Love my balcony – Just moved in on the Boulevard. Some of the neighbors are loud from time to time, but my a/c works great and I love my balcony. So far so good!
