Overall, Just Okay! – Good food! However the staff can be a little more friendly. This was my second visit to Lulu and boy! have times changed. There are so many restaurants in San Francisco , but after this last visit I would not go back because of the service or lack thereof.

Would not go back – I have dined at many San Franicisco restaurants. My experice at LuLu was awful. The food was very mediocre and the service was worse. I very much enjoyed LuLu Petite at the Ferry Building both times that I've been there but this restaurant was a major disappointment. I always ask a person that has been somewhere before: Would you go back again? My answer to LuLu is a definite NO.

EbonyPJ's – Great Comos. Great mussels. I haven't tried dinner here yet, but plan to soon. The wood fired grill is enticing. Your clothes get a little smoky when its all cranked up. Had the best Mojito here. Two actually on that Sunday in May. The maker makes the mojito... regretfully didn't get the bartenders' name.

Best of All – I LOVE this place and have eaten here 20 times at least. One of my favorite restaurants in the world! Great roast pork, awesome potatoes mashed with olive oil and fantastic oysters!!!

This SoMa standby marries an esoteric space with classic Provencal cooking. – The Scene The sprawling split-level room feels busy, with vaulted ceilings, bar on one side and bustling servers, but the focal point is the blond-brick oven--with leaping flames and orbiting rotisserie meats, no less. The crowd morphs from early evening conventioneers and tourists to urbane late-night diners. The Food The seasonal spin on Provencal country cooking is as classic as the room is modern, and simple flavors and preparations shine. From... read more

Amazing! – I had to write a review after a recent visit to Restaurant LuLu. Some friends came in to town over the weekend and I decided to take them to LuLu as I haven't been in quite some time. It was amazing. From the moment we walked in the door to departure the experience was seamless. My friends and I enjoyed the baked Chevre and moved on to the duck...wow. Our server was well informed and was able to answer all our questions about the menu and huge wine list. I can't wait to go back!

Past Its Time – Restaurant LuLu used to be one of the bright spots in the SOMA district, but after eating there tonight, I can honestly say that the restaurant has seen better times. The salad looked like it came from a Costco pack, and the dressing was too strong. Even though the restaurant was only mildly busy for a 630pm seating, it took almost 20 minutes for us to receive our food between finishing our appetizers and receiving our entrees. The capellini and dungeness crab dish was very uninspiring, and at $16.25 is not a... read more

You couldn't pay me enough to go there – Gone are the days where I used to recommend Lulu as being a great, fun place to go out and have a good night on the town. The service is appaling, and I felt pretty good going through all the other reviews on citysearch which indicate that more than 50% of the people who go to Lulu have a terrible time. The manager and the host are beyond arrogant, condescending, smug, and rude. Customer service is all about making the customer's experience a good one. These guys couldn't have cared l... read more

spend your money better elsewhere – Don't order the espresso. It's very watery--they do that thing where they think they have to fill the whole cup instead of give you just the good part of the espresso. The drinks are also quite small, but the people at my table said the martinis were good. a final note: the bathrooms are a little bit grafitti laden for an establishment of this caliber.
