Not Recommended – Sadly, after 10 years as a faithful customer, I have to retire my recommendation. I have been entertaining client groups here for years, but recently I find that the wait staff is unpolished, and the management seems inexperienced and unprofessional in responding to customer concerns. Horrible service, good food – We had a party of 14 there on 7/28/06 and received horrible service. First the hostess told us that we couldn't be seated until our entire party arrived, which I would understand if the restaurant was packed. But when we went to the side area (where all the large tables are), there were 3-4 empty tables. Horrible Management – I would hate for my first posting on Citysearch to be negative, but my LuLu experience was too awful to sugar coat. I have been a longtime patron of LuLu for 6 years. On my last visit, we were treated rudely by the front door staff, the condescending waiter and worst of all...the manager. bad service - mediocre food – We had a horrible experience July 18, 2006 and would never ever recommend it to anyone. It started with the server wondering in an arrogant fashion if the 4 appetizers that we ordered for the party of 5 people would really be all. Typically people would order more, he said. Yummy Prime Rib – I went here for drinks on a Fri night and had a really good time. The bartender said that the prime rib Sun was one of the best in town. I have to say it was very good. The serving was big enough for two and it was cooked perfectly. The potaoes that it is served with was also very good. I thought that the wine list was also nice. They also have a huge by the glass selection. I really enjoyed my experience.
LuLu has seen better days – I have always recommended this restaurant to guests of my hotel in the past, but no more. Visited last week and had the rudest service ever. In additon, the place looks like it hasn't had a cleaning or any maintenence/updates since it opened up well over 10 years ago. Too much $$ for the average food – I was at LuLu last week, and a year ago. It is definitely not a first date kind of place, because it is always too noisey in there. The food was okay, very very average. Porkloin was dry and fish was fresh but not cook to flavor, it was plain. It has a huge selection of wine list. The dessert was very average as well, it is not worth for what you would pay for.
We WON'T be going back! – We showed up at 10pm on a Saturday. Were seated promptly, but then waited 15 min for a server to show up. We ordered the "special" roasted duck, and a salmon dish. The duck was DRY DRY DRY. I've ordered duck at dozens of top restaruants and I've never had worse. When I mentioned this to the server, the response was "I just got great reviews from one of my other tables about our duck." WORST SERVICE EVER!! DO NOT DINE HERE!! – Went to LuLu last weekend, had the worst service I had ever experienced. It took 45 minutes to get our drinks, and when we asked our server why the wait was so long his reply was that we just had to "bare with it!" One of the guests in our party started taking drink orders and going to the bar himself returning in less that a minute with the beverages.
