Warm and a good time – A fabulous looking place. For such an open space, it posesses a great deal of warmth. Though I like the food, I am not a big fan of the food presentation. I find a problem with the ordering of small plates or pizza or rotisserie items to split. Even though it is supposed to be Provencal, I gather Lulu's gives in to the local tastes. The saving grace is the wait staff who you can have frank conversations about the menu and they always tell me what is good and what should wait until next time. Only other... read more
Disappointing, used to be a great place – I have had many great meals at LuLu's, but all over two years ago. I had heard things had taken a step down since then, but I had no idea how low LuLu's has sunk. 6:30 pm Wednesday, we were seated immediately. The roasted portobello mushroom with polenta used to be a bold, flavorful, even exciting appetizer. This time, it was brought out unusually quick, lukewarm, on a small plate. The rotisserie pork with mashed potatoes arrived nearly cold, dry and chewy, after waiting for 30 minut... read more
LuLu Losers – The food is incredibly ordinary, the wait staff are rude, the decor isn't worth mentioning, and it's just like eating in a loud bar - don't plan on having any conversation with your dinner guests. To top it off, the last time we were there the hostess asked us to leave before we had finished our coffee so she could seat another party at our table (even though we had just dropped more than $400 on a dinner that was a HUGE disappointment). Talk about insulting ... I'll never set foot in this place again. It sucks... read more
Great for groups – I recently hosted a dinner for about forty folks at LuLu. The special events staff was great about working with us on the pre-dinner details. Everything went very smoothly, the food was great, the service was friendly (and attractive!), and all my friends raved about the meal. People loved the family-style food service because they got to try so many dishes. I can't think of anything negative about the restaurant.
Horrible Service – The restaurant LuLu shoulds good, the food was average, everything about this restaurant was average except for the service, they are one of the worst. How difficult is if for them to smile, to say you're welcome when I or my friends say thank you to them when they pour us water. How freakin difficult was it for them to smile instead of having a horrible stern look on their face. Another thing about this restaurant is they charge us for cutting the cake that we brought. It's understandable if they charge 1... read more
Compliments to the Chef! – The food at Lulu's is amazing and really decently priced for all your get- quality and quanitity. The rosemary chicken and pork tenderloin are off the hook! The staff is friendly, helpful, curtious and great with wine selections for every meal. You can dress up and go on a date or just head over after work and have an incredible time and meal either way!! My compliments to the CheF
food is good but.... – I never gonna go to lulu agin...... Food was good but service is terruble. nobody came to give us a refill on coffee, they wont come and check on you, and it took server 15mins to give us dessert menu and 20 mins to give us the check.we waisted our time just waiting......
Wine Bar – While I thought the food and service were above par(but just barely), I was very annoyed at the expense of the wine bar...after specifically asking for their "cheapest" cabernet...and my friend asking for a merlot, the female bartender poured us both the most expensive of the cabernets...I only found out later that the bar bill for 3 glasses of wine (there were two others with us) and one martini was 60$...with tip 68$...most inappropriate..am still trying to figure out what that was all about...be very careful wh... read more
Alien "bob" eats your children – supremely overated- good service has left with the dotcom ebullience- Our waiter had the skills of a caltrans garbage cleanup sign holder- The food is overpriced and uninteresting. Its like a fancy restaurant in the suburbs, aiming for chainfood/franchise decor. Nothing unique or charming about it. Love you!!
