Long wait – it was too long a wait.... i almost finished my dinner by the time i sit down on a table
Not worth it... – Poor service (including having to wait 30 mins. for a table reserved days in advance, and waiting a good 45 minutes for our meal), condescending staff, and boring/uninspired entrees... your money is better spent elsewhere - may as well spend the few extra $$ and go to French Laundry, if you're looking for french food... But they do deserve accolades for a decent wine list and their chocolate cake!
Best MUSSELS! – Would go back simply for the mussel appetizer!! Though everything else was high quality also!
Superb! – Reservations are great! I arrived right on time with my dinner guests (4) and we were seated promptly. The food was amazing. I would highly recommend the mussels, they were the best I've ever had - and I grew up in New England! We also ordered the heirloom tomato pizza as an appetizer, which was equally tasty. For dinner I had the pork loin, but I tasted everyone elses dinner also, and they were absolutely delicious. I will be back!
LuLu Rocks! – I was there on a Friday night with a group of four. We had reservations and were seated as soon as we arrived. I loved how they served all the entrees family style - no excuse needed to try everyone's dinner! Our server, Michele was fabulous - suggesting wine pairings for our dinners and later a flight of dessert wines when we couldn't decide. The roasted mussels were the best I've ever had and the lamb was so tender, never mind a fork - you don't even need teeth!
Tasty from start to finish – Arriving promptly at our reservation time, we were seat immediately. The mussel appetizer changed my view on mussels and I may never have them steamed again. Our meals were beyond tasty, and I haven't had such good venison since a hunting trip with the Boy Scouts. The warm chocolate cake and a yummy port (cheapest on the menu too) rounded out a fine meal. we've had dinner several times at LuLu and have had a great experience every time. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is delicious. The wait at the door is a little long, but tolerable if you have the mussels and martinis at the bar.
LuLu Still Shines – A group of us, who fancy ourselves "professional diners", visited LuLu last week. Although we made reservations 3 days in advance, we had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated. However, the host/manager was very polite and kept us abreast of the status every 10 minutes and even bought us a round of drinks for our trouble. Crazy 4 Lulu – If I had read the rest of these reviews before I actually had dined at Lulu, I may have missed one of the best meals I've had in a while. I was duly impressed by our waiter and by the tastiness of our food. I may have to get a rotisserie grill for my own house so I can start working on copying some of that great chicken. My friends and I all had a great time and will be returning soon.
