I placed an order specifically to use my rewards dollars. The code did not apply at check out. I did not receive an order confirmation email until much later and the customer service was closed so I couldn't call until the next morning. When I called I was hung up on three times when the phone service said I was being transferred. I had a bad experience with West Elm's product and customer service. I bought their Belgian Linen sheets and they fell apart one year and two months later with a big hole. I followed best practices for care and cleaning of the sheets. Linen sheets are typically supposed to last 3-5 years. I contacted customer service and they told me they could not give me a refund or store credit because it was normal wear and tear. If ZERO was an option, this is the score I would give them. This company is just BAD: they get you to sign up for a credit card with lures of free merchandise. The you call the credit card company (comity bank) and the bank doesn't know your balance or your purchases. You order a custom build and guess what? They don't know when you will get it! I'm so disappointed with Pottery Barn. I purchased two full size beds in November of 2018 for my daughters. I spent over $2,000 for the beds, and 13 months later mu one daughters bed broke. They said since its been over a year they can't replace it for free, and it will cost me $500 for a rail. The vendor will not replace it without payment up front. My daughter is 10 years old and it's a full size bed. If a $1,000 bed wont last for a ten year old, and will break in 13 months, I would've been better off going to Ikea and pur... read more
I ordered two items, a bean bad insert and the slipcover. They charged me double shipping for both items. Prior to ordering I had two code for free shipping for anything over $99. They told me the coupon is not valid for furniture (isn't that what they sell?!). These are not good best practices. The customer service was terrible. I will not shop here again as I do not feel they protect the consumer.
If I could give zeros stars I would. I ordered a sectional from West Elm in November 2019. It was supposed to be delivered in early January 2020 and they lost the right chaise piece so it had to be reordered. The sectional was then due to be delivered in mid-February and now they lost the other 2 pieces of the sectional. This is the worst experience that I've ever had with a furniture store. I have to say that I am very surprised by the negative reviews. I have ordered from Pottery Barn Kids quite a few times now, from a loft bed, to backpacks and Christmas stockings. The couple of times I have needed help with something that I purchased or was attempting to purchase, the support staff has been awesome! They were helpful and stood behind their products. I will continue to be a loyal customer.
Negative Stars. An order that I placed well before Christmas 2019 was never delivered. Multiple phone calls to track item. Multiple broken promises the item would ship, I would be contacted directly, etc. Then multiple phone calls to cancel the item when the item never delivered. I purchase a gift from a bridal registry for a small fry on from William-Sonoma The pan was sent in a nondescript box four times the size of the item - not in any original product box with no original paperwork. In addition the box was half opened. The pan was clearly someone’s else’s “sloppy second” return item as it was scratched and defective.
