Ordered an "indoor/outdoor" rug from **** ***. Rug was outside on a deck for approximately two months before it started shedding so many particles of plastic fibers that they coated my dog, who had been lying on it, and filled up half the canister of my *****when I vacuumed the rug. I regarded this as a significant health hazard since the particles were small enough to inhale. I put on a mask, rolled up the rug and put it out of the way. I was sent a letter from pottery barn asking me to send in pictures of my drivers license And social security card. I discarded it because I thought it was fraud. Today I go to order two chairs only to find out they permanently closed my card and took all my points. Not OK!!! I have no idea how this is going to show up on my credit!!! I am livid! And one customer service rep after another had their hands tied and I was pretty much s*** out of luck. This can not be legal!

I'm afraid this is going to be a mirroring of the last reviewers filing. I ordered a cookware set on June 16, received confirmation of the order with a projected delivery date of June 25. This was a gift for my daughter's birthday so delivery date was important and lead to my ordering from this store - misleading. I received at least two marketing emails each day but no update on my actual order. Dealing with PB has been the worst shopping experience of my life. I ordered a very specific ottoman (36 inches long) waited 2 months, received the wrong ottoman (31 inches long) during the return the item I ordered was no longer on the website (WTH)! No one believed me because the item number was connected to yet another wrong item that was 40 inches long. SO WRONG! if I could give 0, I will give 0. I placed an order on the website, they canceled it 2 days later without notifying me. I checked on their website a week later, and it showed up as canceled. Then I called customer service, they said it was canceled because the merchandise was out of stock. While on their website, the same stuff was still on sale! They did not even initiate the refund until I called them. I will never visit their website or store ever again. NEGATIVE STARS.

Wow...so sad. One of our lifelong favorite stores. Sadly, it WAS one of our favorite stores. Customer service for William Sonoma is non existent. I have purchased numerous items over the years with no problems, however, this past year when ordering online I have received no confirmation email, no notice if something is not in stock, and no tracking numbers etc. I thought it was an issue with our email server, but I continue to get questionnaires regarding the quality of service. Horrible customer service. Waited on hold for 40 minutes to inquire about a rug that I ordered a month ago. Service rep was rude to me after she couldnt reach the warehouse and I kindly requested someone to call me back about the matter the next day. Very unwilling to help or go the extra mile. I noticed when I ordered the rug online that they dont allow customer reviews for any of their products. Buyer beware.

I ordered pot pies thru Williams Sonoma and received them about a week later. They were supposed to be frozen and shipped in a refrigerated box, and transported in refrigerated trucks and warehouses thru out the process. The food arrived with the boxes collapsed and soaking wet, warm as if they had sat in the sun for hours, and completed destroyed. The pies had literally turned to mush. I have contacted them two times to resolve the issue, and they have ignored me. Do not order any frozen or perishable items from them.

Incredibly disappointed with the overall practices at Pottery Barn. I made a significant purchase that went on sale no less than 2 days later and when I contacted customer service they refused to honor the new price. Telling me I should “sign up” for notifications in the future- as if I could have predicted these would be on sale. Not to mention I am a card holder and loyal customer.
