I've been a Pottery Barn customer for years and spent thousands. In error, I ordered an incorrect mirror size and was told I was unable to exchange it for the correct one. So I had to arrange for them to pick it up. I ordered the correct mirror and the delivery charge for a smaller mirror went from $69 to $159. The mirror itself is only $359. I've always loved Williams Sonoma products in the past, but after my experience at this store, I will never shop there again.We wanted to buy a few big items and saw that they have a 10% back reward if you get a WS credit card. So we did that, purchased the items on the card, and everything was good. West elm is horrible. Ordered a $700 chair back in June 2022. Chair came with correct fabric, wrong legs. No problem. When I call for replacement, its months for them to show up - wrong color again. After an entire year and having received the wrong color legs for the 4TH TIME, I gave up. Never an offer for money back or any compensation to fix the issue. No place to leave a review on the website. Interesting.
I ordered a bedroom set for around $5,000 from Pottery Barn and the experience was a nightmare. I was told I would receive a 15% discount once the product was delivered, which took over a month later than the promised delivery date. I spent over 10 hours on the phone with them figuring out why the furniture was "lost." Finally, I receive the furniture and it was damaged! I place on order on June 16th 2023 for some very expensive knives...they hadn't shown up yet, so on June 26th I checked the status online, and it showed the order as cancelled. I called to see why, and they said their billing department left a note on the order stating they had contacted me and were waiting on a response, if they hadn't received a response by June 20th they would cancel the order. I placed an order for an open box item and had it cancelled 2 or 3 times (after a month fir each order) before I found one that was actually in stock. The woman who took my order over the phone neglected to put in the 12 month financing that I specifically asked for so now I am being charged $38 of interest each month as well as my monthly payment. We order two components of the Pottery Barn Modular Bar Collection on February 15, 2023. We were not alerted at the time the order was placed that the products were backordered. After waiting 4+ months to receive the items 1 of 2 pieces received damaged. I had purchased a *** Western Full Sheet Set for $120 back In December 2022. It hasnt been a full year yet and its already coming apart from washing and drying it. I got in touch with them online about returning my sheet set and they told me that their return policy is 30 days. For a pricey purchase like that a 30 day warranty is no good. They tried to offer me 10% off on my next purchase but thats just a basic discount. Ill never shop with them again. Stay away from Pottery Barn because they dont appreciate their customers.
Pottery Barn has dropped the ball on their end MULTIPLE, MULTIPLE times. NOT ONCE has a rep tried to compensate for my HORRIBLE and shocking customer service with PB. I was never able to speak to a manager or supervisor.That has led me to this last attempt to reach out to PB directly in hopes that there will be some type of accountability.
