My husband and I purchased our son a Pottery Barn Kids study bed this past February. The bed was to arrive on March 25th. Only part of the bed arrived (the tuck under desk and cubby). The actual bed (and bookshelf) has still not arrived. We have have had the worst retail experience with this company. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER EXPERIENCED!!! I bought a diaper bag and the fabric discolored from WATER. I called them & offered to send pics to show them how my $180 bag discolored from spilled water. They didnt want to see the pictures and quickly dismissed me because it was past the return window. If I could give this company 0 stars I would. This is by far the worst company that Ive ever dealt with. I ordered the Charlie ********* kit for my sons bed all the way back in December and Im still waiting. Ordered all of my daughters furniture from here, totaling over $6000 approximately. The bed arrives and we loved it! I wake up to her screaming the night after its assembled and it turns out the bed has a defect and her arm got stuck between the headboard and the gap. The following morning, I called the West Elm team, who was initially apologetic, and I explained the circumstance. They said they could either file an incident report or refund me in full. We recently ordered family room furniture and dining room furniture from Pottery Barn. After waiting 5 months for them to arrive we had to call and find out it had been sitting in a warehouse 1 hour from our home. No one contacted us telling us our furniture was in. When it was finally delivered, the dining room table was clearly used and greatly damaged and the chairs were the incorrect color not matching the table. If I could take away that one star I would. We paid a lot of money for a bed that arrived without parts. The delivery guys assured me it was an easy fix. My daughter had to sleep on the couch for eight weeks, not fair.Williams Sonoma assured me we would be compensated for our trouble...their idea of compensation is an e-gift card to their stores.No supervisor would talk to me. Ordered a (thankfully) relatively small inexpensive item from Pottery Barn online on March 17th. Went by the **** store bc on a hunch, I wanted to see if the item looked close to the online one. It did not. Store said they couldn't cancel order. Online rep said no prob, it hasn't shipped, I'll cancel shipment. 5 days later it shipped anyway. We ordered a china cabinet from Pottery Barn in September and have had repeated misfires in delivery (damaged goods, missing parts, etc), yet they took our money several months ago. No customer service agent seems to be willing or able to help us get our delivery despite them having our money. This company is a disgrace.
We had the worst experience ever with West Elm. We purchased a bed frame in early October with an estimated delivery in December. It was then pushed to February, then continuously pushed to April. Our second scheduled delivery date was today. We were notified that the bed was delivered but it was not. We are now being told it will arrive in two weeks.
