Terrible business practices. When you order something thats backordered, regardless of the price point or if its a special order, they will put the charge through EVERY SINGLE MONTH, to see if you have the funds to pay for it. This is absurd. Just put it through when the order is placed and then when the order ships. There is absolutely no need to do this on random items that are NOT special ordered. Worse customer service of all time. I placed an order that was supposed to be delivered mid February. It's been pushed back 3 times now (all with notifications after anticipated delivery date) and when I requested to cancel the order, I was indicated that was not possible, as they work through a vendor. UNBELIEVABLE

Like everyone else here, the experience of having purchased a furniture item for delivery has been THE WORST. I had the exact same experience during the pandemic--it took many months and countless hours, pushed back 5 months from the expected delivery window--but thought it was due to the pandemic. So I ordered something else. Nope. SAME THING. It got delayed, then finally scheduled. Pottery Barn use to be a great store with affordable prices. As years have gone by, little by little they loss what they once had and now the are at the bottom. I have been continually harassed with emails. Almost daily I have unsubscribed but they don't go away. I have blocked them weekly but they keep getting into my email box. Obviously, they have become desperate for business, but this is not the avenue to take. I have called the store and they were no help. Lack of customer service from **********************, which is owned by Williams Sonoma. Called in for support for my purchase and needed to speak to a supervisor. Waited over 50 mins on the phone waiting to take with a supervisor, as the support agent was communicating with a supervisor named *******. She was not responding to chat with the support agent and would not give the option to call me back. The agent texted her multiple times requesting a response and would not get one. I placed an order in November and it has yet to arrive. After multiple attempts to get customer service I got through. They said they would respond in 5 days and never got back to me. It's been months. It's ridiculously difficult to even reach anyone as you can only call, no email or chat availability and call hours are limited. Very frustrating.

The worse experience Ive ever had. Placed an order 6 months ago on West Elms website, on September 5th 2022 and as of today, theres no delivery of the entire order. The items first were noted to be delivered 2 months later and the date kept on rolling forward. If i could give this company less than a one star rating i would. Absolutely despicable in terms of customer service, quality and delivering when they provide a time frame. I began this journey with them in June 2021. I still have no resolution on half of my order. Nothing has come in without damages. When two chairs were supposed to arrive, they shipped one and lost the other (makes a difference for dye lots!). You never speak to the same person twice. You get lip service when you do. VERY DISAPPOINTED. We ordered a sofa in December and it was damaged on delivery by the team, therefore, we did not accept delivery. During the subsequent delivery, the WRONG sofa was delivered. Instead of a sofa sectional with a chaise, a small loveseat was delivered (big difference). 3 months later, the correct sofa was delivered, but the custom cushion cover was damaged.
