My experience with Pottery Barn has been terrible. My main complaint: Pottery Barn sells items that they do not have stock of and will be endless list of delays, and Pottery Barn stole our money.Here is my story: I ordered my daughter new bedding from Pottery Barn teen for Christmas. Ordered fabric headboard and frame May 24, 2022 from Pottery Barn. A total of 5 cancellations and 7 months later the delivery guy put fingerprints on fabric. So much for the white glove delivery.... gloves were on the floor. Ordered a $4000 desk from Pottery Barn back in September. It is now February and the delivery driver white glove delivery arrived today.... with only 4 out of 8 pieces. On the website it said in red "IN STOCK SHIPS TODAY". After reading the countless reviews of people with the same issue, how is this company still in business? My wife ordered a rug from Pottery Barn in early January. We were confused when a regular sized box arrived. Instead of shipping the rug, we were sent a lamp. My wife immediately called customer service and they asked us to send the lamp back. We were told that they would not send the rug until the lamp arrived, but confirmed that we would receive the rug. First of all, West Elm doesn't deserve any star. Secondly, I am here to report my dismay, yet only to find many more similar miseries, to the point where I must laugh out loud. I hate to complain and don't usually give reviews, that said, I do want to share my experience and the warning: DO NOT use Pottery Barn. I spent 5 figures furnishing a house with this company. I placed the order in July and have a bill that lists EACH piece as "In Stock and Ready to Ship" with dates ranging from the earliest of August 6th to at the very latest December 3rd 2022. West Elm has the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with in my life!!! You get different stories from different people all within the same day! They dont know whats going on with your delivery even though you give them order numbers etc. did not get my furniture for 5 months when they told me I would get it in a month. I ordered a rug from West Elm back in September, after that the delivery was delayed multiple times to November. On the day of the delivery West Elm informed me that there was a mistag and the product was now out of stock and they couldnt deliver the product. I then ordered a new rug that was in stock with a delivery of a couple of weeks, which was again delayed over 4 weeks.
