West Elm should no longer be in business due to their terrible customer service, breakdown in supply chain and order fulfillment. I ordered a bed in early September 2020, and have still yet to receive the bed (as of February 12). They have delayed the delivery date 5 times, lost multiple pieces of the bed frame, and rescheduled the delivery on the day they were supposed to arrive. I’m beyond frustrated and wish I never purchased from this company. No matter how many times I’ve called to follow up on my order, no one calls me... read more

I placed an order for a dresser in September with a target delivery date of November, which at the time seemed reasonable. A few weeks later, I received an email indicating delivery has been delayed to December, then another email indicating February 2021. I checked again in January 2021 and the online status changed to April so I decided to cancel my order since I couldn’t wait for this product any longer. After I cancelled my order, a charge for the product, shipping and handling, and taxes appears on my credit card transa... read more

West Elm listed a false weight capacity for a media console that I purchased, and I had to return it because it wouldn't hold my TV. It was also delivered three months after I ordered it, and they just kept moving the delivery date by two weeks. If you can't pick it up in the store immediately then I would never order it. I believe the weight capacity - which was off by 35 lbs - represents advertising.

We purchased a $4000 sofa after much deliberation and speaking with the sales person at our local store. I was nervous to spend so much on furniture that didn't come with a warranty. I should have listened to my nerves. I was told that Pottery Barn stands by their products so they don't need warranties. That is so incredibly false. No where on my receipt does it say we need to report issues within a year. Well, this last year has been tough and complaining about my sectional just wasn't a priority. The cushions have broken d... read more

Absolute worst furniture buying experience I have had! We ordered a bed in August 2020; it is now February 2021 and we still do not have a complete bed. Estimated delivery was September 2020. No one at Pottery Barn has ownership, no one follows up. Every time I call, I talk to a different person. No communication on progress. I have to constantly bird dog any progress which is extremely slow. There is no sense of urgency, no expediting. How can they have an "A" rating from BBB with a 1.07 customer review rating? While the cu... read more

Ordered a sofa that said In Stock on November 14th with a delivery date of December 29th. This was a Christmas present. I kept getting emails saying it would be in the following week. By the beginning of February, when I got another email saying it wouldnt be in until March, I canceled the original order and reordered each sofa piece separately so it would be in earlier (in February). Absolutely ridiculous that an in stock item would take just as long as a 12 week custom order. This wasnt the first bad experience Ive had wit... read more

Worst retail experience of my life!! Ordered a 3 piece kids bedroom set back in October, and I still have not received it now into February. The Ryder ******* delivery team is the worst! They have lost pieces, refused to assemble my order, ask for a tip and are late every time I have tried to get the pieces delivered (5 delivery attempts and counting). I have over 50 phone calls into the customer service phone number, gone through 2 different supervisors, and no one will follow through to call me back or get me the bunk bed ... read more

Their customer service is atrocious, including one of their “supervisors” **** *******. We received a damaged couch and were told it would take 3 weeks to get a replacement, when it ended up taking 6 months. After spending probably 15 total hours on the phone trying to get an answer, the couch was delivered, and dents were left in my wall by the “delivery experts”. It then took months to hear from west elm’s insurance carrier, who was extremely rude (***** ****** **** ******** *** *******). Tina with west elm was initially r... read more
