Pottery Barn has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Although the people may be nice, they have literally no empowerment to cancel orders or even give updates on timing of order deliveries. There is nothing more infuriating than having an order which is 3 months delayed and being told I am unable to cancel the order at this time. I wish I could give 0 stars for the time I will never get back from arguing with pottery barn and waiting on hold.
Just wasted 2 months on a nursery rocker for my nephew. When it was ordered it was in stock and I received a estimated arrival date. That date kept getting delayed. I called customer service 3 times. The first time they assured me that there were upcoming shipments of the product coming at the end of the week, and that since I had ordered so long ago, I would surely be next to receive the order. The second time I called (yesterday), some more time had passed and my order had now been further delayed. This customer service re... read more
This has been nothing short of a horrible experience, the customer service has been nothing but scripted responses with no real answers. We ordered a couch in Nov 2020 knowing full well not to expect it until the end of Jan 2021. Ok that's awhile to wait but we were willing. They charged us Jan 18th which we were under the directives of you won't be charged until its ready for delivery. Sitting here today March 16th we have been pushed out again until April. The customer service team has been able to only tell us that two pi... read more
We ordered a Callum Wall Storage Set in ******* of 2021 - with a delivery date of March. No problem, we liked the set and had some work to do in our play room any way. On February 20th I got an e-mail that my delivery was ready to be scheduled. I responded and got a delivery date of March 4th. We packed up all of the toys, emptied out the playroom, painted the walls and were excited for the delivery. March 2nd we were notified that a piece of the set was delayed and they would need to reschedule delivery. Ok... we reschedule... read more
I have always loved Pottery Barn and ordered a customer sofa in November 2020. We were quoted a delivery mid-February which we felt was reasonable. Fast forward it is now mid-March and still no sofa. I have called multiple times, each time receiving a different excuse as to where my items are (still on the carrier, at the warehouse, a piece had to be remade, etc.). The most frustrating thing is that no one can seem to find my items. Apparently Pottery Barn does not track items in transit, or their employees are too lazy to a... read more
Placed and order in Sept 2020 for daughter's birthday in Oct, Just received in March 2021. I have been calling for months trying to get an update. At first it was every week and I was told it was guaranteed to be delivered the next week. That went on for several weeks. Then a Rep said she would call me back with delivery information. She stated she got special permission because I know call center people do not call back. She never did. Then they said for your trouble we will not charge you shipping. Well, they never charged... read more
Website advertises a 15% student discount if you enter and .edu email. I submitted my email and received a "Welcome" email but no promo code was ever sent. I called customer service to see what went wrong and they told that they have discontinued the discount, even though the website still advertises it. I asked if they would be willing to provide another discount since their website is still advertising the discount and I have already provided my email and they refused.
Pottery Barn is one of the worst companies that I have ever dealt with.Customer service might as well not exist at this company. They claim that the $1,200 (including the shipping) rug that I ordered from them was left outside of the front of my row home in ********* City. They claim that the order was delivered on March 3. However, I was at home all day on March 3 and there was not even a knock on my door on that day. So, if what customer service at ********************** is saying is accurate, the delivery company that they... read more
As everyone else is stating, the customer service for a brand that is supposed to be viewed as premium is laughable. We placed an order for a baby changing table/dresser 4 months ago when it was apparently "in stock" at the time. Once it finally arrived, it was completely damaged. It looked like the fork lift went straight through the back of the dresser, which is not the delivery team's fault it is a Pottery Barn warehouse issue as it had obviously occurred in transit. How this wasn't caught ahead of time is beyond me. The ... read more
