Returned an item, using their pre-printed return label, but did not understand how they calculated the amount of my refund. Spoke with customer service three times before someone could walk me through it. They charged me more to return the item than the original shipping cost but they could not send me a copy of the total return transaction to confirm this was true. If I could give 0 stars I would! I never leave a complaint, but this is the worst company as far as customer service that I have EVER dealt with. If you place an order, you can't cancel the order, even if shipping is not for 6 months!!!!! Every time you call you get someone who is unprofessional and tells you one thing and the next person tells you something different. Called Pottery Barn to cancel order for a fireplace that I had placed the *** before. Held forever to get through to someone who was going to put in a "Request" to cancel and I'd hear back within 24 hours. Never heard anything so called several times again but was unable to get through. Never heard back via email either. On the 4th day, finally received an email that because my item is "direct ship" I'll need to wait for it to be RECEIVED to send it back. It has been 41/2 months and I have not gotten my order from this place! They take your money but you do not get what you ordered! They placed a delivery date and I took off work. That day of the delivery I get a email saying it was returned? Then another date was placed! I take off another day of work. NO DELIVERY! They will give you some BS on COVID or something else! HORRIBLE! STAY AWAY!!! I ordered 4 dining chairs in December. On 01/26/21 I got an email that my order shipped with tracking numbers. For over 2 weeks there was no update on tracking (only "Label Created, not yet in system"), I called no less than 10 times to the customer service number and kept getting the runaround, "they're on the way," trying to blame the shipping carrier. For the premium price you are paying at PB you'd expect the quality of products and customer service to match up. Not the case... Brought a defective throw pillow back to the store to see if there's anything they could do (pillow was 2 month old and barely used). This company gets an F in customer service. I placed an order on November 14th, 2020 for a fire pit the website stated was in stock. It is now February 13th and I have no fire pit or no reimbursement of my $1,000 gift cards that were applied to this purchase. I ordered a file cabinet in early September 2020. This item was apparently backordered, so I waited until December to receive it. When I unboxed everything, the cabinet was damaged in one of the corners and it was missing a metal "loader" piece that goes on the bottom of the cabinet to enable proper opening and closing of the drawers. The corporate customer service is HORRIBLE! I purchased a comforter that had multiple holes & pulling within 6 weeks of purchase. After multiple emails with corporate they agreed to send a replacement & asked for shipping information. When I replied to other the shipping information I was then directed to start the entire process over. After a phone call and two more emails I contacted my local store & they relaxed the item that day. They do not stand by their products & also do not provide simple customer service.
