Selling me items in mid Nov with early December delivery estimates and only finding out days before Christmas that most of the items are backordered is bait and switch fraud. My elderly mother who lives alone will not be getting most of her gifts this COVID Christmas. Some coming in January and the rest still unknown. I would have never ordered from Williams Sonoma had I known the items were not actually in stock (as it fraudulently stated).

They have nice furniture, but their service is absolutely horrible. Greasy hand prints on a brand new mattress, and forever forever forever (months) to deliver items, lost items...no one calls back. Crickets. Terrible terrible service. Oh, and I love this one. "Ma'am, I cannot hear you. The call is breaking up." which is false...or they disconnect the call.

As others have said, they have the WORST customer service. I just moved into a new house and purchased thousands and thousands of dollars worth of furntiure from PB, PBK, and West Elm. Where do I start... all of the PB pieces (2 desks, media stand, console table) were poor quality. They all chipped or wore within days of receiving. I've been directed to their 'furniture medic' - 1 month and no response. They are apparently backed up. Then I move to Pottery Barn Kids. I placed an order for 4 furniture pieces of toy storage an... read more

Ordered table in March every time it got closed to delivery they would change date. Finally after numerous calls to the so called customer service they charged my credit card but still kept changing delivery date. Called credit card company to fill dispute. Well 6 weeks later they delivered table but top was damaged at end of October , 7 months later. They ordered new top but again delivery date changed so I called to have table returned it was damaged. They refund my credit card minus $211 what a scam. Advertising table the... read more

Ordered outdoor lighting poles in black online through Pottery Barn and received the wrong item 4 times. Each time I contacted them, customer service assured me they would open the box and inspect it before shipping it out to me. I was expected to haul these bulky, heavy items myself to UPS 4 times because of their error! This started in September, then come December (the 4th time) they tell me the color I ordered isn’t available. Don’t know what happened, they used to have great customer service. This was a joke. Done shopp... read more

I ordered from William Sonoma about a year ago, didn’t receive my order and all of a sudden 6 months later my order shows up on my door step. I should have known better than to order from this horrible company again, but I gave it another shot. I ordered the simplest measuring spoons for $45 and here it is 14 days later and nothing. It says they have been delivered but William Sonoma has zero customer service. They will not return calls, emails or answer my questions. I even reached out to the shipping company and no respons... read more

I placed an order with the Pottery Barn for 5 items for a total of $398.03, they charged my credit card $398.03 for payment in full. They then charged my credit card $84.73 on the same day. I only had one order with the Pottery Barn for a total of $398.03, they charged me $84.73 for nothing. I called to request that they refund the $84.73 and they are refusing to credit my card.

My grandmother ordered a room divider back in September 3rd as a Christmas gift for me and it's now December 12th and no sign of the screen. The delivery date kept getting pushed back more and more and now it's at Jan 14th! They were more than happy to charge her card after about a month of waiting though. How you can be a corporation as large as West Elm and just not ship out your furniture is beyond me...

BEWARE of Glass Tables from West Elm. I ordered the Mid-Century Art Display 34" round coffee table from West Elm two years ago. In mid-October 2020, I came home from work to find the table spontaneously shattered. I called West Elm and they said someone would call me to follow-up, they never did. I went to a West Elm store in Manhattan, no help, they would only give me an email. I emailed with 4-5 different people over the course of several weeks, each giving me a different update/resolution/recovery update. In the meantime,... read more
