Specialties Refuge is America's first co-ed outdoor relaxation spa and an award-winning hydrothermal facility located in Carmel, California. Our serene and silent 2-acre property features a Himalayan salt wall sauna, eucalyptus steam rooms, cold plunge pools, hot pools with waterfalls, and breathtaking views. You must be 18 years or older to visit. Swimsuits are required. Daily Hours: 10:00 am to 10:00 pm PST. Last entry is 8:30 pm PST.

This was my first visit to The Refuge and I found it to be tranquil! A breath of fresh air and what continues to become a very busy area... My therapist Jeffrey Lyles, was is skilled bodyworker, one of the best I've ever had!
Masssge was good, employees sweet and professional. Atmosphere tranquil and pleasing to our senses.
I loved everything from the massage to the refuge saunas and tubs.I was nothing short of astonished.This was a wonderful getaway and way to relax.It truly made my bday one to remember.
Real surprise highlight of our CA trip, and such an experience we dream of going back just to visit again. Spent an afternoon trying out the various hot to cold systems and loved every one.
I had Mary as my massage therapist and she was absolutely amazing! I could not have had a better experience for a first time. I’m seriously so impressed with how the refuge is put together. I have been a member since I was walking and it’s turned into such a beautiful place, really recommend Mary and the refuge massage services 🙌🏼😊😁
