Specialties Refuge is America's first co-ed outdoor relaxation spa and an award-winning hydrothermal facility located in Carmel, California. Our serene and silent 2-acre property features a Himalayan salt wall sauna, eucalyptus steam rooms, cold plunge pools, hot pools with waterfalls, and breathtaking views. You must be 18 years or older to visit. Swimsuits are required. Daily Hours: 10:00 am to 10:00 pm PST. Last entry is 8:30 pm PST.

No slippers provided and front desk did not tell me that if i don't want to walk around concrete / stones in bare foot, I should bring my own flip flops. For a spa that charges $125 minimum for a massage I would imagine I should not need to inquire if they provide slippers. They said you can purchase if you like, and when I tell them I was not told to bring one if I want to wear one, the answer was 'well it's not required.' Which totally missed the point.
Absolutely amazing, peaceful experience. We will be back! Had a massage and spent two hours treating our bodies to a rejuvenating experience. The staff is awesome.
