PSE sent me an email about an issue with a payment on my account after having moved to a new home. I called customer service immediately to resolve the issue and I was told that I actually had a credit on my old account and that the account was already closed out so they transferred the credit to the new account towards my next bill. Automated paying service is very bad, not getting correct number into system and its making me re-enter number 2-3 times. Do not pay them over the phone.
You pay your bill, they shut off your power anyway? You wait on a phone line forever, they disconnect you. You call back they feed you lines from a sheet. Tell you, you have to pay a reconnection fee. You're power "should" be restored within 24 hours. Meanwhile you have no power, no heat, no way to charge phone to get up and make it to work on time, and you have to throw out all of your food. Do they care about this....no of course not. This monopoly is horrible. They over charge customers and there is no other company you can switch to. There online bill pay does not alert you when a payment is over due. They supposedly mail you an alert so if your out of town you would have no way of knowing there is a problem so they can cut your electric off and pocket a $200 reconnect fee. Horrible people!
This company is a royal pain. Because of my residence now being handled by a realty management company, I got stuck with a $309.22 bill from PSE. I called several weeks ago, and a nice gentleman agreed to set up repayment over 4 months. I got a bill yesterday for the full amount. I called to ask what was going on. DO NOT DO any business with Puget Sound Energy, it's a cheating company with the worst customer service. There is a transformer from PSE which is in front of our living room, that one is producing a very big noise recently, like 'hum' forever. I made countless complaints, PSE customer service is just saying they put a note in their website, and some time later an engineer will check it, however it's just a trick of playing you, they never look into the issue, they never solve the issue. I have no idea why they have an A+ BBB rating. They are so terrible. Year after year the powers out and we've learned to call it power outage season. The bill we received for Dec 2016 and Jan 2017 (they bill for 2 month cycles) was almost $900 and guess what! We didn't even run the heater and ended up using our fireplace the whole winter. If anyone out there can find an alternative to this monopoly company, I am all ears.
PSe is another pseudo utility company that lies their ***** off to get you to not sue them. in all honestly a class action lawsuit is overdue. Every year the power goes out and they feed the same line of "we cant send crews out because weather conditions". Reality is they have people to clear tree limbs for Seattle City light, who actually owns and maintains the power lines. PSE has been known to have committed various scams of over charging their customers in the past several years. An dnow they have started this new scam of delayed billing. They bill you for previous accounts after having closed the accounts with no additional amount due at the time of closing. They do this under the pretext of having the ability to correct billing errors upto 6 months after closing.
