Opened in 1771 by Colonel Ebenezer Crafts, the Publick House Historic Inn offers a charming and historical stay. The inn was used during the American Revolution as a training ground for soldiers and rumor has it that George Washington even stopped by. In fact, Publick House has always been an inn and restaurant except during World War II when it was used by the army. Guests can decide whether to stay in the historic building of Publick House or in one of the newer buildings like Country Lodge which is located in an apple orc... read more

Attended a wedding and stayed on the premises. Beautiful grounds and wedding venue. The food during the reception was very good and servers/bartenders very attentive.
Great time. My room was a walk down the hall from the wedding!!!!
Three of us stopped in for lunch on Monday in the downstairs dining room adjacent to the bar. The service was extremely leisurely. We ordered open faced roasted turkey with gravy. The turkey was delicious! However, the French fries were cold, as was the gravy. The coleslaw had absolutely no taste. We have been here many times in the past traveling between Syracuse and Maine. You need to step up your game in the kitchen and for your wait staff. Not sure we will stop again...
We stayed here this weekend, asked for a first floor room and was told they were giving us a room upstairs in the historic section (translated, the section that needs updating). We had to park in the rear of the place at the very end of the parking lot and walk with our luggage back to the Inn. Being in our 70's, the considerate thing to do, would have been to take our luggage at check-in and deliver them to our room instead of having us park a 1/4 mile away and walk back with them. Cordial staff and servers for this wonderful baby shower event; lovely Inn and surroundings inside and out with beautiful landscape; would recommend this highly for any occasion .
Went there for lunch with 6 other girls. Our waitress, Shirley, was awesome! I had the cod! It was delicious. Will definitely go back again! Oh, by the way, my daughter had her wedding reception there 12 years ago! Beautiful!
A little tight between sessions , but they had two events going on and handled them great!
The food was horrible!! We will not go there again.
Our reservation was for 630pm for Easter buffet because that is all that was open. They actually closed at 630pm, but informed us that they had a lot of people scheduled for then so we can take our time. Unfortunately they also said everything would be fresh and abundant for that price. We got the last of the food that was there. No more was being cooked and some food wasn't even there that was there for the earlier buffet people. All and all my kids enjoyed the kids table of food and I really liked the cheese, just wish the... read more
