This company will provide 200' foot rolls for the Aaton A-Minima and they will answer the phone and go over the details with you. Their prices are reasonable for the service they provide. They get film to you quickly and do a great job.
Their Super 8 Film Kits are a very good value. The price is steep but all inclusive -- $88 for the roll of film, return shipping, developing, scanning to digital file, and film being shipped back. The home movies shot on them look better than I expected, and quality is pretty fair for SD interlaced (although you can upgrade to HD online and mark the return envelope). The wait time is usually 2-3 weeks, but the wait is worth it. I will use them on my next vacation, for sure.
I would rate them 1 star, but I appreciate the service this company provides is uncommon, and supports creative people. I've used my my Canon 814 super 8mm camera for about a year now and have used Pro 8mm to process my film one other time in the past with no issue. I sent 3 rolls of film to be processed by Pro8mm about 5 months ago from a wedding that I shot. I received my film back and noticed that I was missing the entire first day of the weekend wedding. Bummed with the experience bc I was pumped for this. I spoke with company reps 2x to go over what I needed to know, what I'd get back, ect. There was clear miscommunication and when I called to share my concern I was told 'Well, that information would be good to go over with future consumers, sorry,.......ok bye". No business is perfect but I think it's the company's ability to rectify a not-so great experience of a first time patron that is a real testament to what kind of experience they want for their clients. $160 later ... read more
The best place in town for super 8 cameras, film and transfer! Rhonda and phill are very helpful! They are a lot like family and will treat you and your film the same.
Pro8mm has been doing an outstanding job with all my Super 8 footage. All the staff is very knowledgable and I highly recommend their services .
