Fantastic! – Pod was fantastic. The atmosphere is really cool...like you're in the Starship Enterprise. We were really impressed with the service as well. Pod has great sushi but is definitely not only a sushi restaurant. There is a great variety of entrees where everyone can find something they like and be pleased with what comes out of the kitchen. The Crispy Scallion Chicken and Wasabi Crusted Filet were both excellent.
soso food, cool place – food is OK, its not extremely good. but its still super cool... i'd say its the coolest-looking restaurant in philly
still hoppin' – Wow! We went to POD the other night, for the first time. It was a rainy sunday, labor day weekend no less, and the place was packed. Our server, megan treated us like we were the only ones in the place, though. great place to go – WOW! what a cool retaurant, I ate at pod yesterday and It was one of the most enjoyable meals that I have ever had. From the time I walked into the restaurant to the time I left, I was treated like a king. All of the food that I had was so creative and the flavors were to die for. wow that was great – wow what a meal. If you have not been to pod yet, you must go. The food is great and the restaurant is so cool looking. From the time that the first piece of the crab spring roll hit my mouth to the time that the white choc. bread pudding hit my mouth I thought that I had died and went to heaven. Out of This World!!! – My husband and I wanted a nice enjoying meal but we received so much more. Upon entering we were greeted by smiling faces and promptly seated. Our waiter, Ben was so acknowledgeable. Every question that was asked he was able to assist us. The sushi tasted like we were back in Hawaii were it was caught fresh everyday. Terrible sushi/food, worse serve/experie – having friends in from New York, thought I would impress them with POD. The sushi was terrible, warm rice, I didn't think tuna was supposed to be brown. Sent several items back and still got charged!! In an empty place, the hour wait by the bar was annyoing to our entire party. I guess they want you to buy more and more drinks while waiting to seat you. Save your money (it is very pricey) If you want attitude, take the ride to New York at least it is justified by good food.
Poor Food – Being from NYC and experiencing quality food from places like YAMA and Blue Ribbon, I'd have to say POD is the worse sushi I ever had. Are those positive ratings by the owners? I'll never go back.
I ate a pod last night and had the best meal. This place is great, better then any place that i Have ever been to in Japan. For a great time you must go for the great food and order lots of sushi. Tell them Zama sent you
