Forced to Buy Expensive Drinks – Although the servers were very kind, they seemed to push the expensive drinks. I wanted a glass of plum wine, but the bartender suggested that I get the "purple" drink because it had plum wine in it. OK, I agreed. Next, when seated at the table, I tried again to order the plum wine. The waiter insisted that the "special infusion of whatever-it-was" would be better. Asian-fusion delight! – I continue trying new restaurants for the sake of diversity, but none have compared to the delights that Pod has to offer.
Trendy, cool, but.... – Going to POD is really an experience. It is obvious that a lot of thought (and money) was put into the decor and furnishings to provide that retro Jetsons kind of look. And the food is good, but it very expensive and the portions are not that big. We were informed by our waiter that the entrees were served family style for sharing with others. Trendy decor is worth seeing. The food however is overpriced and not that great. I recommend going for one drink, named after colors (green, purple, et cetera) just to check out the scene. Save your money, don't get the food. Just go in and check it out for a short while. No need to return.
Lacking substance – The futurama celluloid decor of Pod in innovative, but the food is lacking substance and more. I was very disappointed, my food was nothing innovative as it was touted to be. If you want to go out anywhere for dinner, I suggest going for the food. If it's atmosphere that you are looking for, than Pod would be the place, but I personally would prefer staying at my own home if that's all I wanted.
All style, no substance – Pod is a very cool-looking restaurant, with design and decor unlike any other restaurant you've seen, unless you've been to Las Vegas. The food however, leaves much to be desired. "Dim sum", sushi and entrees all sound interesting and inventive, but what you get is just a couple steps above what you would expect at TGI Friday's. Edemame – White, hip, trendy place for a cool drink or delicious asian inspired food. Very interesting decor.
Best meal..Great service – The food was amazing try the crab spring roll and the wasbi crusted filet the are hands down the best. The sea bass also was the best that i have ever had. Serice was outstanding are two servers Dan and Garrett were excellent, they help from wine to food. Who needs Le Bec Fin when you have the best food and service right here
Blah – Atmosphere is one thing (that one can easily tire of. If you don't like feeling like you're in a Target or Gap advertisement, don't go here) but the food was overpriced and not that impressive. Glad it was on the company card.
