BBVA ************* ************************************ This is my personal opinion and experience. I am a brand new card holder and so far no issues. The fraud department placed a hold on my card, which I do appreciate. The issue is the company did NOT communicate this. No phone calls, no e-mail. I logged into my online account and it simply shows "blocked" with a phone #. That phone # is not to the fraud department and it gives no reason for the "BLOCKED". I tried several times over the past few days to call, but sadly the... read more

I would not even give PNC Bank one star! Unfortunately, they held the mortgage to my mother's house. June 14, 2021 the title company formally requested the payoff statement. Never heard from them, so they tried again. Still NOTHING! The morning of June 24, 2021, when my mother was scheduled to sign her closing papers, was the first we found out that PNC has ignored the requests for the payoff statement! I wasted precious time on the phone with them, did what they asked, was told payoff statement would arrive on the title com... read more

I was a former Simple customer who was "forced" to move to BBVA. I was trying to update my cell phone number using both online and mobile app access. It tells me I have to call customer service. I get someone in **************. She can't do it so she tranfers to another person. He asked for all kinds of info - name, address, phone number (which I am trying to UPDATE), and account number. He tells me the number is already in the system (it should be as it was in the Simple system). I tell him I cannot see it. He then asks for... read more

If I could give this financial institution a 0 star rating I would, I have never had to dispute charges before but the 1 time I do it’s a nightmare. I had to deal with multiple fraudulent charges on my account from a DIFFERENT COUNTRY (Vietnam & Thailand) totaling almost $300 and now here we are almost 4 months later and IM BEING HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THESE CHARGES. I’m then told that I wish to close the account I’m going to have to pay the negative balance thats bs. I'm not paying for those charges. I’m not responsible and t... read more

Our truck was originally financed through BBVA. They were taking automatic multiple payments we never authorized every month that we had to do charge backs on through our primary bank. **************** is useless, they would either claim they fixed it or we needed to delete the app to fix it. We recently refinanced the loan through our primary bank to get away from BBVA. Our bank bought the loan, BBVA accepted the money, BBVA never sent the final paperwork to inform our state that another bank owns the loan, and today BBVA s... read more

Customer service is non-existent at this bank. They sent me a letter - addressed to me - stating that the address has been changed on my account. If I didn't make the request to notify them. This is a car loan I co-signed with my daughter. She makes the payments, has all the information about the loan, and does not live with me. First, why wouldn't they send it to her - or at the very least, to both of us? So I called them and asked them to check to see if the account address had in fact been changed. I didn't want her to te... read more

Hands down the worst customer service and user experience (website) I have ever had. I was also a Simple customer (thankfully not all of my money) that transitioned to BBVA. The initial transition was fine and my account and debit cards worked. When I needed to access the website and mobile app is where the trouble started. Consistently (**** times) would get locked out and have to call support. Reset password and all other methods just do not work, you have to call support. Good luck on a Saturday afternoon if you need anyt... read more

Beware: Loopholes!I am a former Simple customer who was switched over to BBVA. I LOVED Simple...it was so...SIMPLE. Everything about BBVA has been HARD.So. Many. Fees. A never ending barrage of fees starting with the "paper statement fee" that you have to opt out of. I never got paper statements with Simple, so why would I need BBVA to suddenly start sending me paper statements? Short answer: I don't Long answer: so BBVA can tack on a $3 per month fee to any former Simple customer that doesn't read their mail carefully. And ... read more
