Outrageous fees, extremely shady (bordering on illegal) policies allowing them opportunities to steel money. ridiculous holds placed on deposits. Froze then cancelled my accounts due to a deposit not going thru even but though I didn't initiate and messages were sent days prior to transaction declining. Sat on hold for over an hour on 17 different occasions attempting to reach the only person able to fix issue. Left 17 voicemails. Received no call back.

Business response:

Yes, my husband attempted to transfer money from our income tax check which was put into a greendot card to my BBVA account. He immediately received notification that it wouldn't go through. At that time he used the greendot card to pay our rent instead of waiting days to return to town (he's a truck driver) and deposit it into our BBVA account and he sent a message to BBVA letting them know everything that had happened (he never got any response to this message). At this point he no longer had the amount he attempted to tra... read more

I've been a loyal PNC customer for 9 years and have had credit cards with them for 4 years. I was always paying the one card in full each month. I made a larger purchase this year and called them TWICE to ask about my payment. I asked how to avoid interest. At least TWICE different representatives told me that I only needed to pay the minimum balance to avoid interest. I asked "Are you sure?" and they all confirmed YES. So what happens? I get charged interest. I call and speak with the escalation department. They said they w... read more

I had BBVA as a local branch account and their service was terrible. I had opened a credit card with them and was using it frequently always paying on time. On 6/14 I had a fraudulent charge and immediately disputed it. They asked for more info I sent it. Today 8/26 I call and they tell me that the case closed and that because they never heard back from the merchant, I am stuck with the charge? I am disputing again. The reps are in *************** and it takes over 1 hr to get anyone on the phone. Once all this is done, I am... read more

The most dishonest bank. The give no info or date when yr balance transfer runs out. Then charge you interest when you don't pay it off on time...because you had no info and didn't know. Would not reverse the $66 charge.I then paid it off in full, per statement. Now they're charging me another $33.DISHONEST Now PNC which is also horrible. Stay away.

If I could leave negative stars I would. I am just going to give you a time line of the process of me attempting to receive a replacement debit card and I know they are going to respond with some context about there being an issue with the company who prints the cards, which I can understand in the current climate BUT the issue isn't such. The issue is the **************** or lack there of!!!!! They misinformed me, misguided me, been anything but helpful and flat out lied numerous times! July 21st - misplaced my debit card, ... read more

I used to like them a lot. I had them for a few years, but when it came time to close it was absolute h*** First of all, I called a local branch explaining my situation - I needed to close it because where I moved there wasn't another location unless I wanted to drive hours to another one. So they told me to call their customer service line..... well here's where it gets bad. They told me to wire transfer my money out and then call them back because they couldn't simply send me a check via mail. So I did what they asked me t... read more

This bank is awful. They charge a fee for everything. $3 paper statements that you have to turn off manually. And they charge you $32 fee for every transaction that is returned if you don't put your account on overdraft protection. Which is not 100% guarantee that you will not be charged a fee because the bank will allow certain transactions to go through against the overdraft protection. I was with simple been absolutely 100% free no fee and they sold their accounts to BBVA I was charged $180 in fees,I don't use this accoun... read more

I was a simple bank customer. They had zero fees - including zero overdrafts. They sold to BBVA, which then (a few weeks later) sold to PNC bank. I have been moving all my transactions to a new local credit union and left eight cents in the account at (now) BBVA. A $1 charge from an old subscription came through and they assessed a $32 overdraft fee, even though I had at no time opted into any overdraft protection. The 2010 *************** declaration expressly made it illegal to assess overdraft fees to customers who have n... read more
