The Pleasant Cafe has been specializing in Italian and American food since the late 1930s. All of our sauces, dough, soups, gravy are made daily in house. We are known for our pizza which brings in customers from all over New England. Hand rolled thin crust cooked to perfection with a cheese blend that was shredded that day from a large block of cheese. What could be better? Bring the whole family, dine happily and leave without breaking the bank.

I've been going to the Pleasant since I was 16 or so when I first got my license. I grew up in Roslindale so it was a no brainer. I still love this place because it has stayed the same after some 45 years. The food is as awesome as I remember and the memories of this place are priceless. I try to get here at least 2 or 3 times a year.
Food and staff was as good as it was 40 yrs ago. A true survivor. A perfect if it ain't broke don't fix it . A perfect veal parm ta die fa !
We went on a Friday night still only waited about 15 mins. Happy about for a place that takes no ressies!🖒�� Been living in the JP Dedham area since 1993. And this was my first visit. But it will NOT be my last. We ate dinners veal, prime rib, and such. So we took a roni and sausage pizza to go. A pizza we thought we would have for lunch. It didn't make it that far. I'm sad to announce the passing of that Pizza. Pizza put up a gallant effort. Pizza went peacefully at 2am I'm so glad we went!!!!
Best pizza for over 50 years I've never had a bad meal there
Excellent gathering spot for old friends. We ate, drank, and conversed for a couple of hours. All the while we had the happy service of our waitress. I hadn't been here for many years and was glad to see this wonderful neighborhood haunt retained its best features.
